~ vWhen writing the body of the message, this command will invoke vi. Once in vi, edit the letter. Exiting vi (write, and quit) will come back to the body of the message (at that time the file being edited by vi will have been written--although the user can't see it!).
Enter a dot on a line by itself to end the composition of the message.
Electronic mail can now be sent from any UNIX system on the NRC Ethernet network to any other machine (UNIX or not) connected to the Ethernet. To get the node name of the receiving system, contact its system administrator.
